The 14th International Linguistics Olympiad

The 14th International Linguistics Olympiad was held in Mysore, India from July 25 to July 29, 2016.

43 teams from 30 countries participated, with Sri Lanka sending participants for the first time.

Participants competed to solve problems on diverse languages including Aralle-Tabulahan, Luwian, Kunuz Nubian, Iatmül, Jaqaru, and Taa.

The jury awarded 53 medals (10 gold, 17 silver, and 26 bronze), as well as 24 honorable mentions, 10 team contest trophies, a team cup for highest average score, and 8 best solution prizes.
